Creative and cultural industries sit at a powerful intersection of technology, identity and sustainability, and can play an important role in the transformation of post-industrial regions. This session explores how science parks and innovation spaces can support creative entrepreneurs through incubation, infrastructure and new connections between traditional and emerging forms of production.
In Thailand, Naresuan University Science Park’s NU SEED connects traditional handweaving with contemporary design, intellectual property protection and digital markets. In Estonia, IDA Hub in Ida-Viru County combines a film-tech accelerator with studio facilities to support regional economic diversification under the Just Transition Fund. In Kosovo, Autostrada Hangar in Prizren has transformed former NATO hangars into a living laboratory for contemporary art and circular material reuse.
