Josephine is a technology business leader with over 15 years’ experience working in ICT and telecoms sector in both private, public and development organisations in Kenya and beyond. As the Chief manager, Business Development and innovation at Konza Technopolis Development Authority, she is currently working with the leadership team to bring to life the vision of Silicon Savanna in Kenya by activating a robust ecosystem of investors, industry experts, local and international partners, and key stakeholders to deliver the most ambitious fit for future Smart city in the African Region.
Josephine has a wide range of experience in network planning, implementing, and supporting core transport networks in both terrestrial and submarine segments. She was involved as the only lady-commissioning engineer for the pioneer undersea cable in East Africa, TEAMS and is currently leading the team charged with the delivery of the National Data Center in Kenya at Konza Technopolis. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of tech leaders with a focus on youth and women in Tech. As such she has been instrumental in the establishment of various programs that provide opportunities to mentor women and youth to take up stem careers In Kenya.
She has served in several boards in Kenya and beyond and has been recognized in different platforms including among others, Vodafone women in red 2015 and top 40 women under 40 in Kenya 2014 by the business daily.
