Alexandre Genette is Head of Scientific Mediation at La Maison de l’IA in Sophia Antipolis. Originally trained in analytical chemistry, he spent 15 years in pharmaceutical research, working in proteomics and metabolomics. In 2018, he completed a Master of Science in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. He then moved into the mobile video game industry, where he worked on predictive models for player retention and on the automatic generation of game maps to support game design. He joined La Maison de l’IA in 2020, where he developed some of its first workshops and visitor programmes. Today, he leads the Scientific Mediation Unit, designing and coordinating initiatives that make artificial intelligence accessible and understandable to school audiences, the general public and professionals.
