Omar Alhusseini is General Manager of Commercialization and Technology Transfer at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) in Saudi Arabia, where he leads initiatives that bridge scientific research with industry and the market.

His work focuses on technology commercialization, technology transfer, intellectual property licensing, and deep-tech entrepreneurship, with particular emphasis on transforming research outcomes into technologies, startups, and commercial opportunities. He has contributed to the development and implementation of programs that equip researchers with the entrepreneurial and commercialization capabilities needed to move their innovations from the laboratory toward real-world application.

Omar is also actively involved in strengthening KACST’s innovation ecosystem through industry engagement, technology licensing, venture creation, and researcher-focused commercialization programs, including the Accelerating Research to Commercialization (ARC) program.
