Loay Al Alfi is the Chief Experience Officer of Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City (Misk City), where he leads the City’s experience and commercial growth agenda across brand and communications, partnerships, events and activations, and customer experience. His role focuses on positioning and activating Misk City as a distinctive destination, driving visitation and revenue, and attracting tenants, strategic partners, investors, and joint-venture opportunities.

With more than 20 years of experience spanning the public, private, and nonprofit sectors in Saudi Arabia and the United States, Loay brings a diverse leadership background across strategy, investment, innovation, experience, and city activation.

Prior to Misk City, he served as Strategy Advisor to H.E. the Vice Minister of Mining Affairs at Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, where he led strategic transformation and human capital initiatives.

Earlier, as a founding member of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), he established and led the Investment and Innovation sector for the Science and Innovation Park, designed the KAUST Industry Collaboration Program, and established the KAUST Industry Advisory Board (KIAB), serving as its Board Secretary.

Loay holds a Master’s degree in Information Science from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He has also completed executive education programs in leadership, management, innovation, and entrepreneurship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cornell University, the Center for Creative Leadership, and the American Management Association.
