Assistant Professor Dr. Somlak Wannarumon Kielarová is a leading academic, innovation strategist, and entrepreneur at the forefront of design, technology, and industry collaboration in Thailand’s creative sector. She serves as the Director of Naresuan University Science Park (NU SEED), where she spearheads initiatives in innovation ecosystems, startup incubation, and regional development, linking academic research excellence with real-world economic impact.

Holding a Doctor of Engineering in Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Dr. Somlak specializes in Generative Design, Shape Grammars, and Kansei (emotion-driven) Engineering. She actively applies these advanced methodologies to promote sustainable luxury, circular engineering, and cultural heritage preservation.

As a passionate advocate for the “University 4.0” model, she bridges the gap between the ivory tower and the commercial economy. Her unique perspective is deeply informed by her hands-on experience as the founder and primary designer of her own creative jewelry brand. Through her leadership at NU SEED, Dr. Somlak is currently driving transformative regional projects, such as empowering local textile entrepreneurs in the Lower Northern Region of Thailand, demonstrating how combining grassroots cultural heritage with modern tech-driven incubation can revitalize local economies and transform society.
