Janelle Castrellón Ruiz has been a Business Manager at Ciudad del Saber (City of Knowledge), Panama’s science and technology park, fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and international partnerships among innovation ecosystems, universities, businesses, governments, and international organizations. Her work focuses on connecting people and institutions, catalyzing strategic initiatives, and transforming networks into concrete projects, partnerships, and learning experiences that generate shared value and long-term impact. Her professional experience is shaped by Ciudad del Saber’s unique role as the United Nations Interagency Hub for Latin America and the Caribbean, providing a distinctive perspective on how innovation ecosystems can align technological progress with social impact. In addition, Janelle serves as IASP Latin America Division President, where she works to strengthen collaboration and knowledge-sharing among innovation ecosystems across the region. Through her work, she advocates for human-centered innovation ecosystems that leverage collaboration as a key driver of sustainable and inclusive development.
