Broadening participation in the digital economy means embedding accessibility and social impact into ecosystem infrastructure itself rather than treated as separate initiatives. AVENCOD (France) brings that principle into practice by training and employing neurodivergent people in software quality testing, working with partners including Airbus Helicopters and Capgemini.
Their Focus Talk will set the stage for other examples that approach inclusion through skills, community and corporate engagement. Amadeus Tech4Impact mobilises engineers around the world through skills-based hackathons to develop accessibility tools for non-profits. At High Tech Campus Eindhoven in the Netherlands, the Fe+male Tech Heroes community works to increase female representation in technology, supported by initiatives including sponsorship of the PSV Women’s football team.
