Konza Technopolis, host of IASP Nairobi, was launched in 2009 as a flagship project within Kenya’s Vision 2030. Designed as a smart city and vibrant innovation ecosystem, Konza brings together businesses, technology, education and everyday life, supporting Kenya’s transition towards a knowledge-based economy. The Technopolis also focuses on developing local talent through technology-based training, particularly for young people. Initiatives such as the Kids Tech Boot Camp have introduced children to software development and robotics, with plans to integrate similar learning into the school curriculum. Designed as a mixed-use, high-density and walkable city, Konza combines global inspiration with a strong local focus.
