ICT Authority
The ICT Authority is a government agency in Kenya tasked with championing the country’s ICT agenda. Established under the ICT Authority Act of 2013, it replaced the former Kenya ICT Board and took on an expanded mandate to oversee the implementation of all ICT projects in the public sector. The authority works to ensure efficient and effective use of ICT in government operations, promotes ICT literacy and skills development, and facilitates the growth of the ICT industry in Kenya. It collaborates with various stakeholders, including government ministries, private sector players, and development partners, to drive Kenya’s digital transformation agenda and harness the potential of information and communication technologies for socioeconomic development.
