BVIZ

BVIZ is the Federal German association dedicated to innovation, technology, and business incubation centres, as well as science and technology parks. Founded in 1988 in West Berlin, it has grown steadily alongside Germany’s expanding network of innovation centres, particularly following reunification. As the only German institution specialising in the initiation, support, and oversight of enterprise start-ups within organised innovation environments, BVIZ plays a central role in fostering technology-oriented entrepreneurship across all regions of the country. The association supports its member centres in promoting innovative start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises, while also driving innovation-oriented structural change. Its core mission encompasses technology transfer, business development, and enhancing the visibility and competence of innovation centres in Germany. BVIZ actively represents the interests of its members and the start-ups they support in political, industrial, scientific, and media spheres, working to create favourable conditions for innovative entrepreneurship nationwide.
