Melasecche Germini, Alessia

Alessia Melasecche Germini is the CEO of META Group, an international advisory, consulting and investing firm dedicated to the creation of knowledge-based companies and supporting public institutions to develop better policies and programmes that foster innovation. She is a member of the European Commission Expert Group on the Community for European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS). For the past 10 years, she has collaborated with various European institutions (DG Home, DG Connect, DG RTD, Research Executive Agency, European Institute of Innovation and Technology) as Expert Evaluator, Reviewer and Rapporteur. Since 2020, Alessia has been coordinating the Horizon Results Booster, an initiative of the European Commission that provides free support services for EU-funded projects to boost the exploitation potential and impact of research. Alessia has an academic background in Economics in Economy and Business, a PhD in Internationalization of SMEs, and acted for several years as an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at the University of Perugia, Italy.
