Adriana graduated in Chemical Engineering (1995), followed by a Master’s (1998) and PhD (2002) in Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Uberlândia and post-doctorate (2015/2016) at North Carolina State University (NC State), Raleigh (USA), in ​​Innovation Management field. Since 2007, she has been a full professor and researcher at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), in the Department of Production and Mechanical Engineering (DEP), fulfilling the role of Head of Department from 2017-2019.

Currently, she is the executive Director of the Viçosa Regional Development Technological Center (CenTev / UFV), a body that brings together the Business Incubator, the Technology Park of Viçosa (tecnoPARQ), the Junior Firms Center and the Social Development Center (Nudese). She holds high positions in numerous bodies such as the National Association of Entities Promoting Innovative Enterprises (Anprotec, 2024/2025), the Network of Minas Gerais State Association (RMI, 2021/2024) and the Public Policy Advisory Chamber of Funding Agency of Minas Gerais State (Fapemig, 2018/2022)) where she is or has been President, President Director and Coordinator, respectively.

She is a researcher at the Professional Master in Technological Innovation and Intellectual Property (MPITIP) at UFMG and at the Master in Economics at UFV, while also leading the research and technological extension group, Management Technologies Center (NTG).
