Ciscar, Juan-Carlos

Juan-Carlos Ciscar is a scientific officer of the European Commission, Joint Research Centre (JRC). He holds a graduate degree and PhD in economics (Universidad de Valencia), and a postgraduate degree in finance and monetary economics at CEMFI.

He has worked for twenty-five years on the assessment of GHG emissions mitigation costs and climate impacts, mainly using computable general equilibrium models. At JRC he currently leads a multi-disciplinary team working on the integrated economic modelling of climate risks, and is one of the coordinators of the JRC PESETA projects on climate impacts and adaptation in the EU.
