Full Professor at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (1995), a Master’s degree (1998), and a Ph.D. (2002) in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Uberlândia, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Innovation Management (2015/2016) at North Carolina State University (NC State).

Since 2007, she has been a professor at UFV, in the Department of Production and Mechanical Engineering (DEP), where she served as Department Head (2017/2019). She is currently the Executive Director of the Technological Center for Regional Development of Viçosa (CenTev/UFV), which encompasses the Business Incubator, the Viçosa Technology Park (tecnoPARQ), the Junior Enterprises Center, and the Social Development Center (Nudese). She is also a faculty member of the Graduate Program in Economics at UFV.

She serves as President of National Association of Organizations Supporting Innovative Enterprises (Anprotec, 2024/2026) and she was the former president of the Latin America Division of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP, 2024/2026). She is a member of the National Council for Science and Technology (CCT, 2026/2028), Funding Authority for Studies and Projects (FINEP, 2024/2026), Deliberative Council of Sebrae (CDN, 2024–2027), National Research and Education Network (RNP, 2024/2028), Center for Management and Strategic Studies (CGEE, 2024/2026), and Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI, 2024/2028).

In 2024, she was nominated and awarded the Digital Transformation Awards 2024 in the “Innovation Transformer” category by the Digital Transformation Institute. She served as President of the Rede Mineira de Inovação (2021/2022; 2023/2024). She was Coordinator of the lato sensu graduate programs in Production Management (2008/2018) and Occupational Safety Engineering. At Fapemig, she served as Coordinator of the Public Policy Advisory Chamber (2018/2022) and Member of the Innovation Chamber (2025/2026). She was also Tutor of the Tutorial Education Program (PET) in Production Engineering (2011/2022). She previously served as Director of CenTev (2011/2015), Coordinator of the Business Incubator (2007/2011), and Member of UFV’s Permanent Committee on Intellectual Property (NIT, 2008/2015). She coordinated the creation of the Electronic Journal Produção Engenharia (2008). She was Director of the Rede Mineira de Inovação (RMI) (2013/2014) and of the Brazilian Association of Production Engineering (2010/2011), where she also participated in Undergraduate Working Groups (2003/2021).

Her main areas of expertise include innovation management, management of innovation environments, and product development. She leads the research and technological extension group Center for Management Technologies (NTG/UFV).
