Trauffler, Gaston

Gaston Trauffler is the Head of Industrial Policy at FEDIL and a member of the Management Committee. He is in charge of projects and political actions related to supervising industrial investments and activities to help strengthen the competitiveness of the local industry. Before joining FEDIL, Gaston was the Director of Communication, Marketing and Strategy and a member of the Management Committee at Luxinnovation, Luxembourg’s National Innovation Agency. Gaston holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, a master’s degree in business engineering and Industrial Management with a major in Biocompatible Material Sciences, and a PhD in Strategic Management from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ETH Zurich. He authored articles on innovation and technology management and published a book on strategic innovation management. He was appointed a member of the expert panel for the evaluation of the European Commission’s H2020 ERC PoC Grant Program in 2013, 2014 and 2017.
