As Director of Technology Transfer and International Relations at Málaga TechPark, Sonia Palomo coordinates the park’s international strategy for the past 27 years.
Economist and Anthropologist by training, and holder of a Master’s Degree in Integrated Management of Science and Technology Parks, Sonia brings a global perspective to innovation, technology transfer, and the development of technology parks.
Her main activities include the design, implementation, and coordination of European and international projects; the promotion of technology transfer initiatives; the creation of sectoral groups; international cooperation for the implementation of innovative strategies; and the organization and coordination of events at local, national, and international levels. Her competencies also encompass the global analysis of innovation ecosystems, business creation and development, and technology transfer.
Sonia is member of the S3 CoP pool of experts, a European community of practice that supports regions and Member States to comply with the fulfilment criteria and successful implementation of Smart Specialisation Strategies (S3).
