Martins de Aquino, Thomaz

Paulo Cunha Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub, Insper, Brazil

Thomaz Martins de Aquino is a Professor and Technical Coordinator of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Projects at Insper – Institute of Education and Research. He is also a researcher at the BRIDGE research center, based at the University of São Paulo (USP), focusing on innovation ecosystem management, and serves as Director of the New Business Unit at the credit management firm SRM Asset. 
Currently pursuing a PhD in Innovation at USP, he holds a Master’s degree in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management Accounting from USP. He also studied Physics at Unicamp and Creativity at Aalto University. 
With over 10 years of experience in startups and corporate innovation, he has founded three ventures, served as Director of the FGV Ventures accelerator, and was Head of New Business and Corporate Innovation at the Insper Innovation Hub. He has also served on the advisory board of Insper Angels and on the investment committee of FEA Angels. Currently, he is an angel investor in startups such as Fluke, Umatch, Baduk, and Zyla.
