Dr. Martti Launonen, CEO of Hubconcepts, Vice President of Technopolis (2003-2009), seasoned expert in the planning and development of innovation ecosystems and STPs. Over the years, he worked on 300+ assignments across 30+ countries, supporting public and private stakeholders in building sustainable innovation strategies.

Since 2019, served as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Korea, supporting bilateral relations between Finland and South Korea in diplomacy, business, and culture.

Leadership roles as Chairman of the Board and Board Member in numerous national and international organizations focused on innovation, science parks, technology policy, and regional development. These positions have allowed him to influence high-level strategy, policy alignment, and ecosystem coordination across sectors and countries.

Acted as an advisor to numerous governments, ministries, innovation hubs, and ecosystem builders around the world, privilege to serve and collaborate with actors across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas to help create actionable, forward-looking development plans.

As founder of Hubconcepts developing and implementing feasibility studies, training programs, and business planning projects for incubators and innovation environments in Finland and internationally — across Europe, America, Asia, the Middle East, and emerging markets, building science parks, education partnerships, and national growth programs.

In 2011, he published the book: “Hubconcepts™️ – The Global Best Practice for Managing Innovation Ecosystems and Hubs”, which presents a practical framework for evaluating and developing science parks and regional innovation ecosystems, based on global case studies from Asia, Europe, and North America.
