Ziyi Guo is an Analyst at SPI – Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação, where she is involved in a range of European Commission-funded projects. Her work includes contributing to initiatives such as the EU SME Centre, ECONUTRI, MSCAdvocacy, and others aimed at enhancing business support, advancing sustainable innovative solutions, and fostering international collaboration. Ziyi brings a global perspective to her work, shaped by her experience in business support, analytics, and marketing roles across China, Japan, and the United States. Her diverse background underscores her adaptability and cross-cultural insight.
One of the key projects Ziyi Guo is involved in is ECONUTRI, which will be showcased at this year’s IASP World Conference. Funded by the European Commission, ECONUTRI brings together a diverse consortium of scientific researchers, private companies, farmers’ associations, and other key stakeholders to provide scientific support for the EU’s Green Deal in its target to reduce fertiliser use by least 20% by 2030, thereby reducing by 50% losses of nutrients associated with negative environmental impacts. ECONUTRI illustrates how transdisciplinary and cross-border innovation communities can effectively tackle complex global challenges while advancing sustainable development and entrepreneurial growth.
Ziyi holds dual Master’s degrees in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and International Management from CEMS. Fluent in English, Chinese, and conversational Japanese, she brings a rich blend of analytical skills and cross-cultural insights to her current role.
