Leïla Belmerhnia has a PhD in signal and image processing and computer science from Université de Lorraine (France). The main topics of her research include sparse approximation, convex optimization, and inverse problems. She also works on features selection and classification problems in the domain of big data.
As R&D project manager at TVT Innovation, her work is focused on developing solutions for the smart city of Toulon, based on IoT systems and data analysis. The goal is to implement new applications/services co-constructed with stakeholders of the city. She also organizes and facilitates public awareness and appropriation workshops on the exploitation of data acquired from various processes to optimize and improve the management of the city.
