The Ministry of the Economy is in charge of the country’s economic policy, thus making strategic choices and implementing the instruments necessary for the dynamism and sustainable development of the national economy, in line with its remit.

The remit of the Ministry of the Economy cover a wide range of subjects related to the economic development and the economic environment of the country and are defined in the Grand Ducal Decree on the constitution of the ministries. In line with these attributions, the Ministry of the Economy is composed of several general directorates whose structure is included in its organisation chart.
